How Live Journal Changed My Life

Pennya
Most people use their blogs to post quizzes, vent out their frustrations or keep in touch with other people who keep a blog. I started my first blog in High school I would post simply for the sake of posting fascinated by the thought that someone I knew could respond to my thoughts. I have always kept a diary ever since I discovered the way to code and document my day's events, frustrating arguments with my parents, siblings, or current crush.

When my friends from high school started moving away, I urged them to sign up with Live journal so we could stay in touch. The majority of them did so we would read each other's entries and comment when we wanted to say something. We did not have to be on the computer on the same time to hear about their day via AIM or even have the pressure of writing emails to each other every day. Since the website let us connect with people, who we wanted to keep in touch with we would not have to rewrite the same basic story to seven different people. This entry posting let our friends bounce ideas off one another and get more information when we replied to their comments. It is like having your own website with a message board for every single entry. This website speed the whole process up, provides us with a kind of time machine when we look back at our past entries, and comments its amazing how much has happened.

I found my husband on a live journal anonymous web community for those who were addicted to posting every day. I was sad to find out that the members did not update enough maybe a post every couple of weeks. I appealed to them for help, but no one was responding so I threatened them with the only thing I could, adding them to my friends list. Now I had researched my husband's blog out through the community user info page and I felt like we had a lot in common. I even peeked over at his friend's posts and thought that one of his friends might be a girlfriend. Since I felt pulled to his entries, I added him as a friend. Several years later, after I had already met some people from his area I invited myself out to Columbus for a movie. I Thank God every day for Live journal with out it I would have lost a great number of my close friends and could have never met my husband. Currently Live journal is helping me keep a type of online scrapbook for my baby boy, Alexander. I hope someday it will change his life the way it has changed mine.
