That echo through the chambers of my mind.
I think of all the games we used to play.
The precious memories that we have left behind.
It was a time of innocence and bliss,
Of love expressed in utmost purity
In dark corners when we dared to steal a kiss,
And dream of things as they were meant to be.
Those days are gone now, never to return,
Lost in the mists of ever fading time.
And, as I grow older I still yearn
To recapture that long forgotten rhyme.
As I sit and wipe away the salty tears,
I long to go back to bygone years.
