Hair is the crowning glory of any beauty regimen, and should be pampered just as much as the rest of the body. Baking soda can do wonders for your hair. If you have styling aid build up, or are prone to it, adding 2 tablespoonfuls of baking soda into your shampoo once a week will produce remarkable results. After shampooing, add 1 raw egg, and 1 tablespoonful of mayonaise as a conditioner. For a cheap hair rinse that will make your hair softer and shinier, use 3/4 cup of warm water and 1/4 cup of white distilled vinegar. The vinegar gets rid of bad oils on the hair, and lets the good oil intact with the hair shaft.
The second place people look at you is your face. Your face can give away an age that is not your own, or it can hide age by having young, flawess beauty. For a wondefully hydrated homemade facial, use an olive oil-sugar wash. Simply splash some warm water on your face and add olive oil to a cotton ball, and apply to the face in a circular motion. This will hydrate the skin, and give it a natural glow. Add the sugar to exfoliate your face, and keep rubbing until no granules are felt. take a warm, wet cloth, and wipe off your face. You can make your own natural skin toner by mixing the same amounts of water and vinegar together with 2 aspirins. This will defy any aging already on the face. Use this twice a day to take the aging look off at any time. The vinegar flakes off the dead skin cells, and the apirins are a cheap, natural anti-acne remedy. For puffy, swollen eyes, simple place chilled cucumber slices over the eyes for about 15 minutes. this constricts the blood flow to the soft tissue under the eyes, and helps the eyes look refreshed. To remove eye makeup gently, take a cotton ball with a small amount of olive oil, and apply to areas that have makeup.follow up with a warm, wet washcloth.
Just like the face can show your age, your hands can also do the same. Old dry looking hands are not very attractive, so the next time you are doing your dishes, simply apply a thick layer of hydrating lotion to your hands, and wear thick latex gloves. The dish water will act as a warming agant, and the pores will open on your hands and be more receptive to the lotion's hydrating powers. This should be done one to two times per week to get the full effect. You can also do something similar to soften the feet, only wearing socks instead. For calluses on the feet, use a melted beeswax and olive oil mixture to fill in the gaps, place socks on the feet, and allow to cool. You should see results in about 2 treatments.
Would you like to pamper your whole body for about 20 cents? Add a half cup of milk powder to you bath, and soak for 20 minutes. While you are soaking try a honey mask on your face for skin problems such as acne. Honey is a natural antibiotic, and will produce clear, healthy skin in a matter of a week. I swear by this treatment, because I suffered from acne prone problems on my chin, and after using honey, my skin is back to being clear, and soft.
For the honey treatment, take a tablespoon of honey, and apply to the T-zone, and wherever you have acne issues. Rub in a circular motion, and rinse with warm water.
Lastly, The most important (and free) beauty tip I can give you is drink a lot of water. Water is an all over beauty treatment. It squeezes oil and impurities from skin pores, and produces hydration for the entire body, which gives the entire body a natural, healthy glow. It is recommended that an adult drinks 64-72 OZ of water per day. To keep track of your water intake, gather 8 to 9 pennies and a jar. For every 8 oz glass of water you drink, place one penny in the jar. You can also buy a 32 oz jug, and fill with ice and water. Drink 2 jugs per day to reach your 64 oz minimum.
Adding these simple tips into your daily beauty regimen will have you glowing like a natural diva in no time for about 1/8 the cost of a salon. with the extra money you saved, buy yourself a new outfit that flatters your shape. Go on, Show it off! You know you want to. ;- )
