How to Look like Taylor Swift

Girls everywhere want to learn how to look like the beautiful Taylor Swift. Luckily, her look can be achieved by following a few simple steps and using everyday products.

Hair

Even though Swift is completely gorgeous inside and out, her soft curls seem to be what everyone wants to recreate. With just a few easy steps your hair can be just as beautiful:

1. After shampooing and conditioning your hair using moisturizing products, towel dry your hair and part it to either the left or right depending on whichever way it falls better. Swift tends to wear her hair parted to the right side due to her side swept bangs.

2. Avoid brushing your hair out and instead run your finger through it. Apply a palmful of mousse to throughout your hair and begin scrunching it.

3. Next you should either use a blow dryer with a diffuser or a place a pair of pantyhose over the nozzle to prevent your hair from blowing around.

4. Dry your hair on medium heat while continuing to scrunch it with your fingers.

5. Once your hair is completely dry, decide whether you would like to use a curling iron or a flat iron to create curls like Swift's.

6. If you choose to use a curling iron, a small/medium barrel iron is best. Simply take one inch section of hair and rather than clamping the iron right away, wrap your hair around the barrel of the iron up to the root. Once you have wrapped your hair all the way to the root, it's okay to clamp the iron on. Depending on the heat of your iron, release your hair after enough time has elapsed. You should have a natural looking curl. Continue to curl pieces of your hair that seem to be straight. When you are done, separate your curls accordingly and lock them in with hairspray.

7. If you choose to use a flat iron, a one inch iron works best. Grab a two inch piece of cardboard, a cosmetic box works well and proceed to roll it up. Next wrap your hair around the rolled up cardboard and run your flat iron down your hair that you have secured. I find that this method creates curls that like most like Swifts and it's also absolutely fool proof. After you have reached your desired amount of curls, lock them in with some hairspray and enjoy!

Sometimes Swift also pulls her hair into a very loose up do to complete her red carpet look.

Makeup

Taylor's makeup is always subtle yet it highlights her best features without looking overdone or cake. It can also be achieved with just a few products and a few simple steps.

1. Start with a fresh face by washing your face with the appropriate cleanser and exfoliating it by adding a bit of sugar. Next, moisturize as you would normally and give it a few minutes to sink in.

2. Next, you should use concealer to cover any under eye circles or blemishes that you may be experiencing. Be sure to set the concealer with some translucent powder.

3. Apply a powder foundation to your skin that matches your natural tone. Never go too dark, as you may have noticed, Taylor never tries to look tan. This will not only cover your flaws in a matter of seconds but it will also absorb any excess oil.

4. Swipe a pink/peach blush to the apples of your cheek and blend accordingly. Also be sure to dab just a bit on your nose and forehead to warm up your face.

5. Use a frosty gold or white/silver eyeshadow on your eyelids while making sure to extend it to the corner to brighten the eye. Then use black liquid eyeliner to draw a very thin line across your lid that extends to a wing. I've noticed that Swift always has wing-tipped eyeliner that gives her a cat eye look without looking to extreme.

6. Next apply two coats of black mascara to the top lashes and one coat lightly to the bottom lashes.

7. Finally, finish off the look with some raspberry colored lip gloss and smile brightly.

Clothing/Style

Taylor's clothes always seem to look feminine and summery and she always appears to look very comfortable in them. By following just a few tips, you can also dress just like the Nashville beauty.

Opt for light fabric dresses in lighter colors such as white or cream. Even though Taylor wears a lot of glittery/sequined dresses on the red carpet, she typically wears light sun dresses that extend to just above the knee.
