How I Lost 30 Pounds Over a Three Month Period

You Can Do it Too!

Brenda Keener
This summer, I connected with a dear friend whom I knew to always be trying to lose weight. She was delighted, and told me that she had lost 30 pounds through a new program she purchased over the Internet.

At this time, I was down to two pairs of jeans I could actually wear and refused to buy more in the size I would require!

I quickly checked out the link at www.provida.com . A bit skeptical, I decided to give it a whirl.

In three months time, I had over 13 pairs of jeans I could again wear and my bathroom scale was again my friend.

The Provida program starts you out with a questionnaire that determines your weight loss type. Mine was E - which meant that when I was young, I had trouble keeping weight on but as my metabolism slowed, my waistline increased. it identified me as someone who digests muscle tissue readily, and who needed to actually eat lots of red meat and protein to build muscle tissue. I also found that I was hypoglycemic, which meant that I could never skip meals without my blood sugar dropping or my body going into survival mode. The six meals daily I had to eat grew to be a treat.

The hardest part was giving up white sugar and white flour, but I was allowed to eat white rice which made it easier. Over time, I grew to not even miss these things! The program package included recipes that were quite delicious, and my family actually liked them.

Occasionally, if I do want to eat a sweet dessert, I take a good carb blocker like the one found here www.thefatterminator.com Most of the time, I find that a great piece of fruit satisfies my sweet tooth without risking my new found figure.

Otherwise, eating warm oatmeal for breakfast and protein with every meal has become second nature. I love how my body looks now, and will never go back to being a blimp!

The program also includes twice weekly exercises with a resistance band. They take 18 minutes per session and are easy to work into any schedule.

There are also forums and support groups on the website for those who need help. These were very useful, as was the full booklet included that described why and how the program worked and how to maintain your weight when your six week program was over.

I have tried many things, and this was the first one that actually worked. I recommend it highly.

Weight is listed as the most important factor in prevention of cancer , so I definitely recommend that if you are even lightly thinking about losing weight, you do it.
