How to Love

Love is a strong word to describe how one feels about someone or something. There are different degrees of love that is for a person, beauty, money, the environment, material or food. One can feel comfort, lust, infatuation or puppy love, fondness, strong like or genuine true love. It is not only a feeling, but a reason for one to react a certain way. For instance, when you care about someone else besides yourself it is love. Caring about someone else is a matter or rejoicing when your friend is happy, crying when your friend is sad, or getting angry when your friend is frustrated. Loving someone does not involve loving perfection in someone, but accepting them as they are. Meaning, you unconditionally love hanging around and conversing with your imperfect friend. Love can encourage you to give without expecting a pay back in return. love is not domineering or constricting to someone else's happiness.

There is a saying that if you love someone let them go. Your ultimate feeling for the person you love is happiness, even if the person chooses to go abroad to college. Someone once described love as admiration of someone, and respect. I would like to think of it as a mutual admiration and respect between people. Love can make you want to care for an ailing adult without qualm, or make you choose those you love over yourself. This doesn't mean that you are to forget yourself, but to selflessly help someone else. It is easy to bond with someone you love due to the natural chemistry connection between you both. That person is family to you, a friend, and a companion you can confide in. It is important when you can be your true self, and can put your natural guards down with a person. When this occurs, you feel validated and loved by that person. Perhaps, you can't wait to see that person again, and life seems uninteresting without the person. That person can feel like that when you are absent. In a matter of caring, one does not feel used when giving to that person, or guilty from accepting from that person. In fact, there are many true charitable givers who enjoy giving to total strangers in need. Imagine loving people you've never met, but you enjoy giving them things they need. The organizations who help the animals, plant and trees know they cannot talk back to them. Nevertheless, they love to help them out, because it is what they love to do.

Love can be for your stamp or coin collection as well as a variety of other things. You can love your membership to an organization, and what it stands for. You can also love your singing group and all its members. You can love God through appreciating all he has created, and done for you all your life. Most of all, you would express love by being kind to others. A person with love in the heart would not want to purposely hurt another person in any way. However, parents have to show love in spanking their children in a normal way to help build character. The saying "It's better to be safe than sorry" is using spanking as a warning to the child who almost ran into traffic. An expression of hatred is to let the child run into traffic by standing there yelling as the car runs over the child. Talking doesn't always work for cops when they try to make people follow the laws. Therefore, tasers, guns, and a billy is used to keep people in line. That is the devoted love of the law, and their job.

Devotion is another way to express love through commitment. Monogamy is not too much to ask of people who are truly in love. You have to know who you are, your likes and your dislikes. After that is established you can proudly announce that you love Paris France, Egg rolls, Knitting, looking for Fossils, collecting Rocks and Mineral Stones, Foot Ball, Dancing, Reading and so much more. How to love a person is to value that person, and appreciate his/her presence in your life. In addition, you should care about the happiness of others, and not ignore problems they have. Basically, treat others how you want to be treated. Most people do not want their feelings disregarded as unimportant. Love is not holding back any information that could help someone, or any job that could make life better. If no one has ever loved or supported you, use the experience to think about how you would change that. This world maybe rapidly heading for extreme insanity, but love will still exist despite that.
