How to Love Your Body While You Lose Weight

But it doesn't seem to come fast enough. The very thought of the time it will take to get there ends up leaving you feeling rather discouraged. You don't want to feel uncomfortable in a bathing suit while losing weight, but perhaps summer is going on right now -- but you're still not where you need to be. But before you give up on today, there are some very helpful tips that can keep you going strong until that last pound is lost and that last muscle is made firm. Yes, here are some points to remember while your body is undergoing its own major transformation:
1. You Have to Start Somewhere!
This is a really important thing to remember, especially on your darkest days when nothing seems to fit properly, and the scale doesn't want to budge. You know what you want to look like, and there is no easy way of getting there. You have to go through the forest before you get to the beach. So enjoy the journey and remember you are starting here, and the earlier you start the earlier you will reach that goal!
2. Have fun with it & chronicle your journey.
A lot of people find it helpful to keep a personal diary, or even an online blog, showing their daily or weekly progress. Take pictures, have fun with them (you're still sexy!), and when it's all over -- you can look back with a big smile of relief that YOU DID IT!
3. Do window shopping, it's your little secret -- .
Don't be tempted to buy new clothing until you've actually reached your goal. Believe me, it will be even more fun when you have reached your goal to do some actual shopping when you actual fit the clothes! For now, while that pesky salesperson is trying to pressure you into buying, keep it your little secret and say inside your heart: '˜girl, you have noooo idea what kind of sexy mama is gonna walk in here in a few months!' Do window shopping and get your ideas together now, and when that wonderful, delicious day comes, you can splurge for real!
4. Have fun cleaning out the old.
You can start now on cleaning out the old. As you lose weight gradually, gradually get rid of things. You can find some much joy, too, in giving your old stuff to a friend in need. Make it a day thing '" clean out your closet and just imagine all the new that's to come!
5. Experiment with healthy new foods now.
You're dieting, right? Why not try some new tastes out on your tastebuds '" exotic fruits and vegetables, interesting combinations, and more? After all, you're doing things the healthy way and still need to eat a balanced meal -- so have fun with it and get tropical! Check out local grocery stores that have more exotic varieties of produce. Plus, as an added benefit: if you start learning to love these foods now (not that you don't already), chances are you will stick to eating them when the new you arrives!
Yes, losing weight is a journey. But you don't have to be down on yourself while your body slowly changes -- just know it's changing, and don't miss out on your life right now!
