Flowers cheers up everyone's life. Their pretty colors are a feast to the eyes. Their pleasing smell entertains everyone. Flowers are grown for decoration purposes. Floriculture could be a hobby or even a profession. Flower gardening is becoming more popular in recent times.
Maintaining the flower garden is an easy task. But, careful analysis of following points involved in flower gardening will have to be noted.
1. The type of flowers proposed to be grown is an important matter to be decided. For example, if flowers are grown as a hobby then one prefers flowers grown in bunches. The type of flower you want to grow will also depend on how it matches to your house in the background. Flower plants which do not grow tall could be kept in the front and those flower plants which grow taller could be in the rear, so that it gives the look of a 'stepping stone'.
2. Suitability of the plants for the climate has to be decided.
3. Then, whether they are seasonal flowers or those grown throughout the year. Some plants may flower only for one season and thereafter may require to be replaced with fresh plants. If so, carefully select the new plant.
4. Some people purchase the plants from the green house and graft the same in their garden. Before grafting, it is advisable that the flowers are arranged properly according to your taste and confirm yourself that the arrangement is properly made. For planting, dig a hole larger than the flower, place the plant and close it with mud and gently press the mud and water them.
5. One may choose to buy seeds for the gardens. In that case, the best way to plant them is just disperse them evenly at the place where you want to grow flowers. Periodically water the place. There you have the flowering plants.
6. Proper maintenance of the plants is very important. Appropriate fertilizer should be spread over the land and the soil should be turned so that the fertilizer is evenly spread. While turning the soil, the roots of the plants should not be damaged.
7. Whenever the flower blossoms, it should be cut before the flowers fade away.
8. The garden from be cleaned to remove all the dust.
9. Water the plants adequately.
Maintaining the flower garden is easy. Apart from pleasure, it can be a bread earner.
