The overall appearance of our skin is based on numerous small factors, factors that are easy to overlook when we are caught up in the grind of day-to-day life. The following makeover will help you address little yet apparent facial skin issues to have your skin looking new and improved in just 45 minutes.

This quick facial skin makeover focuses on use of natural skin treatments to promote natural beauty. This article will help you quickly make a natural deep cleansing and moisturizing facial scrub, steam facial and facial toner. The ingredients called for in this makeover regimen are easy to find, natural and inexpensive.

You will need these ingredients to make the recipes needed to complete your facial skin makeover: 6 oz. container of strawberry yogurt; 1/4 cup sugar; 2 large green tea bags; two cups of water.

You will also need these implements and utensils to make the recipes needed for your facial skin makeover: small mixing bowl; large bowl; large bath towel; medium size saucepan; soft washcloths; empty 20 ounce plastic bottle; measuring cup.

Begin your facial skin makeover by preparing this inexpensive and easy to make facial scrub. Prepare the facial scrub by mixing one 6oz. container of strawberry yogurt with 1/4 of a cup of white granulated sugar. Dead skin cells on your face make your skin look dull, lackluster and even older because they worsen the appearance of wrinkles. This easy to make facial scrub is a very important part of your overall makeover because it will help remove these dead skin cells, tone and tighten your skin, improves the appearance of wrinkles and gives your face a healthy glow.

The vitamin C and the sugar in the yogurt will help remove dead skin cells. Yogurt is also germicidal so it will help get rid of acne and bacteria that causes skin redness. After you have mixed the yogurt and sugar together put the mixture in the refrigerator until you are ready to use it.

After preparing the facial scrub, you will be ready to start your makeover with a steam facial. This steam facial is very easy to make. Prepare the steam facial by bringing two cups of water to boil in a medium sized saucepan. While the water is, being brought to a boil place two large green tea bags in a large bowl and place a large bath towel next to the bowl so it will be within easy reach. Just as the water begins boiling, remove the pan from the burner. Allow the pan to set for a minute or two and then pour the water into the large bowl over the green tea bags.

To enjoy your steam facial simply sit with your face over the bowl (make sure the steam is not still too hot to avoid damaging delicate facial skin) and place the bath towel over your head and over the bowl making a tent of sorts to keep all of the steam in. The steam will open your pores and allow the tannins and other beneficial compounds in the green tea penetrate deeply into your skin.

Tannins will bind to toxins in your skin to help remove impurities and fight acne. Green tea is also a rich source of caffeine, which will help tone and tighten your skin. For best results relax and allow the steam facial to work for at least 5 to 10 minutes. After using this steam facial, you should notice that your skin feels softer.

This steam facial also has another use; it makes a wonderful facial toner. After you have completed your steam facial, allow the mixture to cool completely and then funnel it into an empty 20 oz. plastic bottle with a lid. Store it in the refrigerator until ready to use. Use it in place of your usual facial toner.

After you have completed the steam facial, your skin is ready for the facial scrub. Apply a very thick layer of the strawberry yogurt and sugar facial scrub to your face. Allow it to set for five to ten minutes so the vitamin c and germicidal compounds in the yogurt can fully penetrate into your skin.

After allowing the scrub to set use a soft, wet washcloth to thoroughly scrub your face. Scrub your face gently using circular motions to deep cleanse and remove dirt and impurities from your skin. Once you have thoroughly scrubbed your face with the facial scrub, remove the scrub with lukewarm water and then pat your skin dry.

You should notice a difference in the look and feel of your skin as soon as you are finished with the facial scrub. Your skin should feel softer and look healthier. Finish your facial skin makeover by liberally applying the green tea facial toner you made earlier. I use cotton balls or a soft washcloth to apply the toner.

The caffeine and tannins present in the green tea toner will help remove any impurities that have remained in your skin. The toner will also help tone and tighten your skin giving it a healthy glow and reducing the appearance of wrinkles.

Store any left over facial scrub and facial toner in the refrigerator for up to one week.
