How to Use Makeup for Dual Purposes

Makeup that Can Be Used for More Than One Facial Area

Beauty products and makeup can be very costly especially if you're taste is eclectic. Besides loving a wide variety of brand name products such as Estee Lauder, Mac and Dior, these brands charge higher prices than your average drug store brands which include Cover Girl or Max Factor. Luckily, there are some beauty items that have dual purposes which can trim down the price your paying for makeup, aid when in a tight squeeze and create space in your makeup armoire at the same time. Some of these items are already in your makeup drawer and you don't even know it. Here are some items that can be used for more than what is written on the label.

Cream Sticks and Roll-On Eye Shadows

These eye shadows glide over the eyelids in easy strokes and can be blended or added above other eyeshadow in the creases to create depth. This type of makeup can be used for more than the eyes though. If you are in a pinch gold, berry, and brown tones can be added to the cheeks to add a bit of color. In times of need it can also be used to add color to the lips. Although it doesn't have the same texture as lipstick it will serve the purpose until you can replace your favorite lipstick or gloss.

Lip Liner

Creating a sensual and perfectly sculpted set of lips is much easier to do when lip liner is used. Using it on the edges or just on the outer edge of lips can create a more voluminous look and will help to prevent lip color from bleeding or smearing. The dual action of this makeup can be used on the eyes, also. When wearing natural warm tones; lip liner in plums and browns can substitute eye liner. Due to the consistency it may smear a bit but it will definitely do the trick when you just need a pop of color.

Nude, Natural or Sheer Lipsticks

Nude lips have been en vogue on and off the runway and go well with nearly any make p. Nude, natural and sheer shades are great for year around use but are also a great stand in for blush. Although the colors are natural looking they still work to bring color to a fair or sallow complexion. Adding a few dabs to the cheek bones and smoothing it out will now give you a warmer look. Some sheer shades of lipstick are shimmery with flecks of glitter and can offer a sexy look to your newly hued cheeks.

Great make-up tips! I have a great color stick from Avon - it's an actual stick that I like to use as a lip liner and lipstick. I also like to use my bronzer as eye shadow on days I don't want to use too much make-up; and Avon also makes an eye stick that can be used as eyeliner or eyeshadow that I love.
