How to Manage Your Business Finances

Robb Weigel
Step 1) Managing your business finances is essential if you're going to be a successful entrepreneur. The first step in managing your business finances is writing a MONTHLY BUDGET. This should be done at the beginning of the business venture when you write your annual budget. Your monthly budget should include your revenue goal and your expenses. It's important that you stick to your budget as much as possible and not go off and spend money on some marketing initiative because it "feels right". Good entrepreneurs don't usually give in to flights of fancy.

Step 2) CHECK YOUR RESULTS. Do the results of your marketing initiatives match up with the initial goals? Did the marketing objectives achieve the results needed. You need to always check your results at the end of the month to see if your marketing objectives are working. This is how you grow as an entrepreneur. If not, you need to modify them.
