How to Manage Your Facebook E-mail Messages

NOTIFICATION and GENERAL GROUP SETTINGS

Carlos Rix

Are you receiving too many messages from f acebook ( FB ) ?

Would you like to put an end to it? You can, i t's easy!

After all, once you enter the FB at the top left to see the veils of:

  • Friend Requests
  • Messages
  • Notifications

Right? The e- mails ( notifications ) are unnecessary .

To ensure that you will only get what is really necessary do the following :

Access your FB account , click the Account tab , select Account Settings . (Figure 1 )

After that choose the Notifications tab . Figure 2

There will open a screen like the one in Figure 3 , that's easy.

Choose the emails you want to receive . Most of it is already marked , you will actually clear what you do not want to receive. I have cleared all of it!

Group Settings

Ok, now we are at easy, no more unnecessary e-mails. But then some friend invites you into a Group, how nice. Well sorry to say but you must go and check that group settings to avoid new messages. It is very easy, but it is a must do in order to avoid the avalanche of e-mails a group may generate.

So let's say you're part of the Group XYZKT.

As you access the Group there is in the right upper part of the screen "Edit Settings" .

Well , click it open, a small screen will pop up with options. Now, just choose your own and save. (Figure 4 )

Be happy no more FB notification e-mails!
