The very first thing that you have to do is to identify your target demographic. It is important to really put yourself in their shoes and think about what their interests are, what entertains them. Your goal here is not to make a commercial but to make content which will entertain them and go viral, you will be soft selling your product not pushing it on them.
Now you can either outsource video creation or do it yourself. Remember to keep it entertaining, make people laugh or disgust them. This is usually the key behind a video being spread around like wildfire. Be sure to create credits at the end with your URL and a message such as 'brought to you by the people behind YourURL.com'. In the description you want to put your URL as the very first thing when uploading to YouTube so it becomes a clearly visible clickable link. Use keywords you want to rank for in Google as the rest of your description. Be sure to also use a good long tail keyword for your title. This means instead of your title being 'Barbie' it would be 'blonde Barbie in her car', this will help you narrow your target audience and also rank better on Google for extra traffic.
Be sure to upload your video to other video sharing websites which include MetaCafe and DailyMotion. Don't worry about promotion here most of the users are on YouTube but it is a good way to make a couple of extra passive sales.
Now head over to Digg and pick another long tail keyword that you would like to rank for in Google search engine results. Submit your YouTube video and use this long tail keyword as your title and put it in your description.
A good idea from here is to get an initial boost of views from a program like Tube Marketer in order to gain some initial honors and get the real views flooding in. This is not essential though, if your video is high enough quality the views will come just be sure to submit it to as many social bookmarking sites as possible.
You now have a very passive and subtle video marketing campaign up and running. From here you can just move on to a new movie, this one will continue to draw in targeted visitors who, out of curiosity, will check out your website and you will make passive sales for months to come. Doing a few of these a day will yield great results after a month or so as your number of total videos begins to stack up.
