How to Master Dragon Arena - Guild Wars

Aaron Cman
Although, this simple guide will not make you the running and dodging pro at the Dragon Arena in Guild Wars, but, the simple things I tell you will lead you to be one of the best players. If all people in the team read this, and full understand it, you are guaranteed for over 10 consecutive wins at least.

To start off, you have: Dragon Blast, Imperial Majesty, Trade Winds and 5 Resurrection Signets. Your Dragon Blast is the killer move, final blow, Instant K.O., whatever you want to call it. Since you only have 100 HP, this move is highly recommended for you to master it perfectly. First of all, the Dragon Blast will inflict 1000 Damage, which is the instant K.O. To use this effectively, you must be able to time it. But what if you want to dodge it? We'll get to that later.

To master the use of Dragon Blast is very simple. The first move is to get close to your opponent, this way, you are almost guaranteed to hit the opponent with it, just make sure you don't fall for it though. You can get close to the opponent by using Trade Wind and getting close to the opponent quickly. To dodge the blast, watch the opponent, when the Dragon Blast has finally charged up and fired, move the left or the right, strafing is only recommended if you have Trade Wind's on. This way, when the blast is shot, it will only hit where you were standing.

Imperial Majesty is underestimated. Although it's only a touch skill, it's very handy and useful. If you have all 3 of your skills active and you do not want to risk missing with your Dragon Blast, activate Trade Winds and use Imperial Majesty on an opponent that is trying to run away. Once used, quickly use Dragon Blast, 100% effective, easy combo, no problems.

Then there is your last and final Spell, Trade Winds. You move about 33% faster for 10 seconds, this is extra useful if you want to get close to your opponents or if you want to dodge a blast. The downside of this is that it takes about 3/4 seconds to activate, and in that time, you can get shot by a dragon blast. Only use if no one is around you or in ear shot radius.

Then your last skills in your skill bar, Resurrection Signets. These are purely only put there for no reason in my opinion, it isn't recommended to use them, only use them if everyone is dead and no one is near your or the person you want to resurrect.
