Things You Will Need To Start:
-Make Up
-Mixing Bowls
-Cotton Swabs For Mixing
-Cotton Balls For Trying On Make Up
-Make Up Remover
-Mirror
-Natural Light
-Pen and Paper
Choose two colors to start and using the swabs, combine the colors in a small glass bowl. Start with equal amounts and mix well. In the natural light using a mirror, use a cotton ball to apply a small amount to your cheek and down to your jawline. These areas will show quickly if the color is a good match because it is a large area of coverage and the jawline is an area that connects the face to the neck which shows the line of demarcation when the color is not a good match.
Use the pen and paper to write down the names of the liquid make up and the amounts. Keeping up with it this way will help you to mix the make up once you find the exact color you need.
If you do see an obvious line, to this same mix add either a little of one of the other colors or even some of a third color and mix well.
Before applying, use the make up remover to cleanse the face of the make up foundation so you can start fresh with the next new color. Or, you could try the make up on the other side of the face to get a true comparison. This may help show you which color tones to lean towards in the next mixture. It may not take very much to change the tone so only add a little bit at the time.
Repeat in natural light using a mirror to see exactly where the make up is going so you can more easily tell how matched it is going to look. Use a magnifying mirror if you need the extra strength to see during application.
Keep trying different amounts and colors until you find one that is very close to your own skin tone.
Once you find the perfect make up match, use a small bottle or jar you have on hand to store your new foundation.
Keep the written instructions taped inside your medicine cabinet door or in your make up drawer so it's near-by when you need to make more.
