Many people are fond of using saunas to relax and to relieve the stress that their body is experiencing. This is because they find saunas as very effective and they can really feel relieved after the sessions. Saunas are being developed from time to time. In today's world, there are infrared saunas that emit infrared radiation to heat up the body instead of using steam. The infrared that the saunas emit are from the special heaters that make it possible for the body to heat in certain temperature. The advantage of using infrared saunas is that the body stays warm while the air in the room stays cooler as compared to the steam saunas. With this, people get to stay longer in the room and allowing them to sweat more. This makes the infrared sauna a better detoxifier than the steam sauna.

For people who wants to try this kind of sauna but they have health conditions like heart ailments and the like, they should seek first the advice of their physician to be sure that everything will be fine when they are in session. Also, relaxing and letting your heart return in normal state is a must before using the sauna. This tells that people should not use the sauna after they have undergone any exercise.

Eating a heavy meal before using the sauna is not advisable because there might be some problems with the digestion and the processes when the body heats up. As for the blood, it will be needed during digestion so it will not circulate smoothly when the sauna heats the body.

For the first timers, they should not engage in long sessions immediately. They should allow body adjustment to the temperature by sitting in the sauna room for 15 minutes at a time only. Then if the body has already adjusted, they can gradually prolong their stay in the room. It is also best to sit first on the lower benches then climb to the higher benches as you go along the sessions. Low temperature should also be maintained for those people who are new to sauna so that their body can adjust to the temperature smoothly. Sauna users should also have a bottle of water so that they can drink immediately after the sauna session.

Never quickly get up when you need to move inside the room. This can cause dizziness because of the blood pressure. The blood pressure is usually low when people are in sauna. People should also avoid too much conversation with friends so that they can maximize the benefits that the sauna can give them.

There are many health benefits that infrared sauna can give. Like what infrared heat therapy can give, the sauna can relieve swollen muscles and joints, stress, tension headaches, arthritis, muscle stiffness, osteoporosis, and can also detoxify harmful chemicals and toxins in the body. The infrared sauna can also clear up the congestion in chest and nasal that's why many people with colds prefer to use sauna to give them some relief.
