The most important thing is having an appropriate title. A title is essential to proper exposure on eBay. You want to include the keywords that describe your item and boast what is so valuable about it. If it is an unlocked cell phone, make sure you state that it is UNLOCKED in caps. If your item is new or in mint condition, mention that in the title! Finally, make sure you include all of the keywords that describe your item, not just one or two words. eBay gives you a whole line of space for a reason and you should make the best of it.
Furthermore, your first picture upload is free for display. Since only the first one is free, make the most of it! Take a nice clear NOT BLURRY picture of your eBay item! Why would anyone want to buy something that is ill-described and blurry! Take multiple photos of your item and combine them into one. This allows you to maximize your items exposure. A quality photo of your item will be quickly noticed in the search results where as if you simply use the stock photos provided, people will think it is just another mass eBay listing. Make yours eBay item stand out! Also, you can take more pictures and post them on an external website of your choice. There are millions of websites to choose from, such as a blog site or webshots.com. Just include a link in your item description to the extra photos.
Furthermore, be sure to carefully use the options that eBay provides for you. Check all the ones that apply to your item because sometimes, people search using the eBay advanced search. This can filter out your item if you do not properly describe it and check all the characteristics that describe your item.
As for your item description, be sure to state everything clearly to describe your item. Why is it valuable? Why should the buyer buy this from you? How are you going to provide a better service than other eBay sellers? You need to be able to answer all these questions in your listing. So next time you are selling an item on eBay, check to see if you have answered all the questions.
Finally, keep your shipping price reasonable! eBay buyers are afraid of sellers who have abnormally high shipping rates even if the product price is low! Scamming sellers use high shipping prices on eBay! Do not be one of them! Just set it to include a small handling fee in addition to your actually shipping costs. This will cover for packaging and envelopes or boxes.
Good luck, eBay sellers! Make the most of what is offered to you by the eBay service and maximize your profits!
