One of the Things We All Have in Common is Stress. How Do You Learn to Reduce Stress?

It's difficult to find something that everyone has in common, but one of those things is stress. We live in a world with constant stimulation and demands. What do doctors recommend for reducing stress? Most doctors now agree that biofeedback techniques such as meditation are very effective in reducing stress and related illness, I would like to share some simple techniques for meditating. Meditation is an inexpensive prescription for reducing stress and pain without medication. Used with traditional medical help it can relieve the disease and symptoms of asthma, high blood pressure, and others somatic symptoms.

Many techniques for meditation are available, but all include a few simple steps:

First, sit in a comfortable position. Keep your back straight, place your hand in your lap palms up, and your feet flat on the floor. Allow your body to become very relaxed. Feel you feel being connected to the earth below you.

Seond, look up at the light and close your eyes. Keep your eyelids gently closed, concentrating on the pineal gland or the space between your eyes. Many call this your third eye or inner eye. Imagine that you are watching a movie through a third eye in the center of your forehead. Create only those scenes that are pleasant to you.

Let go. If you were to die at this moment there would be no agenda. Some one else would take over your responsibilites. So, by choosing to die to the world in this minute you can experience more peace.

Then, begin breathing in peace and breathing out tension. Repeat this several times. Allow your mind to begin to wander. You can become free from all the constrains of this planet. Breathe in for the count of 5, hold for the count of 10 and breath out for the count of 5. Imagine yourself in your favorite setting. Feel and smell all the activity in that special place.

This technique is call creative visualization. Creative visualization can offer a temporary vacation. Imagine yourself on a warm beach, in a peaceful meadow, or beside a rolling stream. You can go back in the past and recreate a pleasant memory, or jump in the future and see yourself as your would like to be. You can go to the past and create healing to bring into the present.

Many doctors believe that biofeedback help promote healing. So, visualize any healing that you desire to take place. This can be a physical healing or healing of a relationship. Cancer patients can imagine a radiant white light consuming the cancer cells. Many living with HIV visualize PAC man eating the virus.

Trainers help athletes visualize winning events. In Germany 75 persent of time in spent on mental training. So, visualize an event in your future and see yourself as a success. See yourself at the weight you would like to be, or picture yourself in the job you desire. Positive affirmations can also help achieve these goals. Repeat to yourself your desired goals as if they have already happened.

Lastly, feel that changes that have taken place while on your special vacation. Decide to take this feeling with you when you meditation is over.

Now, open your eyes and come back into the present moment. Remember that you can practice these simple techniques to help reduce pain and stress in your life, and assist in healing emotional and physical problems. I hope that these techniques will help all my readers lead a more for filling life.
