How to Meditate for the Small Business Man or Woman

Robb Weigel
Meditation is very helpful for the small business owner because it reduces stress and allows one to concentrate fully on a given task without thinking of the 10 million other things that need to be done that day. It's a necessity for the small business owner, especially during start up phase.

Step 1) Set aside 20 minutes of your time at the beginning of the day when you just wake up and at the end of the day when you are about to go to sleep to meditate. These are the times of the day when your mind runs the most.

Step 2) Sit in a comfortable chair or sofa in a quiet, uninterrupted part of your house. Focus your eyes on a particular object and just listen to your breathing--in and out. When distractions enter your mind, just let them float on past. These distractions will constantly enter your mind especially when your new to meditation so just let them float on out.

Step 3) When the alarm goes off and 20 minutes is up, you will be calmed down. Continue this practice twice a day for life, and it will lower your stress levels, your anxiety, and help you to focus more clearly. As you meditate for longer periods of time, you will notice other benefits, but I'll let you discover those yourself.
