.)Click on start then click on run
.)In the run box type regedit and click ok
.)This will open the registry editor window and from here you need to keep expanding boxes until you reach the Desktop directory by using this route to get there: HKEY_CURRENT_USERControl PanelDesktop
.)Once you get to the Desktop directory click on it and on the right side of the window a bunch of text with variables will appear.
.)First find the text called MenuShowDelay and right click on it and select modify and change it to 60 and your finished
Now when you start clicking on menus and searching though your folders you shouldn't haven't as much or no delay while browsing through your files. This will make it that much more faster and less irritating when your searching for an import file that you have misplaced. You could also change the number of the MenuShowDelay to a lower number to make it pop up faster, but just test lower settings and see which ones you would like to keep for default.
