How Michael Myers Died - The Many Deaths of Halloween

Nine Films Later, He Still Came Home.

Michael Myers is the unstoppable force of evil in the Halloween series of movies. Most people that have seen him for even a moment in one of the Halloween movies knows the chill that goes down your spine. In each of the Halloween movies, Michael Myers is killed in some fashion. Compiled here is a list of each of his movies, along with how Michael Myers is killed at the end.

If you have not seen the Halloween movies and do not want spoilers, then do not read on!

Halloween - The first Halloween is the classic and will always be among the best horror movies ever made. Michael Myers bites it pretty hard here, as he is shot by Dr. Loomis several times and falls about twenty feet to the ground from a balcony. (Myers is no longer there when Loomis goes to look off the balcony. End of the movie follows)

Halloween II - Part two picks up where Halloween leaves off. Michael Myers is not dead and instead follows Laurie to the hospital, killing everyone in his wake. Michael Myers is blown up in a gas explosion within the emergency room by Loomis, burning himself in the process. These scars would appear on Loomis for the rest of the series.

Halloween III - Unrelated to the Michael Myers Halloweens.

Halloween 4 - The Return of Michael Myers - Myers comes home yet again. This time Michael is after his niece, the daughter of Laurie Strode who was supposedly dead. Michael Myers has been in a coma and returns to full power for this movie. He is eventually shot many times and "buried" in a deep well. Or is he?

Halloween 5 - The Revenge of Michael Myers - In part 5, Michael Myers is back and after his little niece once again. Dr. Loomis beats Michael Myers down, traps him and jails him. No death for Michael this time. Before the end of the movie, Myers escapes the prison with the help of a mysterious stranger.

Halloween 6 - The Curse of Michael Myers - This movie also tells the story of the young niece who is killed early on. Dr. Loomis also dies at the end of the film and Michael presumably with him after being injected with corrosive chemicals and being beaten by a lead pipe by Tommy, the original little boy from part one.

Halloween H2O - Finally, in H2O Laurie Strode reappears after faking her own death for decades. Michael finds her out and chases her down at her job. Strode has a son and Myers is hot after them both. Laurie gets the last laugh, however, by decapitating Myers in the end.

Halloween Resurrection - In Resurrection, Myers finally finds and kills Laurie Strode. Then he returns to his home in Haddonfield only to find it filled with kids from a reality Internet show inside. Mayhem ensues until Bustah Rhymes ends up killing him by kicking him into live electrical wires. Yep, live electrical wires. By the way, Michael was not decapitated in the previous flick after all but I guess you figured that out. He had put the mask on a paramedic after crushing their voice box. (yeah right)

Halloween (Rob Zombie) - Rob Zombie comes into the scene and redoes the Halloween series here. Not much to say about it other than I did not like either part one or two. Anyways, I guess I must include them since they are Michael Myers. Zombie has Laurie Strode do the deed at the end of this one, shooting him in the head.

Halloween II (Rob Zombie) - Part 2 leaves Michael battered and beaten, and ultimately killed by Laurie Strode (zombie version) by stabbing him in the chest and face.

  • Myers has died many times over his movie lifetime.
  • The Halloween series has been around since 1978.
  • Zombie came out with Halloween 1 and 2 and they were pretty pitiful in comparison to the originals.

Can't stand horror movies but I enjoyed your article. I have subscribed to your content and I hope you will check out some of my work. It's a little less scary.
