What You Will Need:
* Scissors
* Tape, mounting squares or glue
* Paper in designs that you enjoy and that has a design in scale with your home
* Film container or similar container (I used a container from a roll of Kodak Advantix film)
* Pen that has run out of ink
How To Make It:
1. Take your empty pen that has run out of ink and take the ink tube out. Measure out the length of a roll or wrapping paper either in your home or in a store and cut the ink tube to size. (remember your scales!)
2. Take your papers and begin to tape or glue them to the ink tube. Roll the paper around the ink tube taping or gluing as often as needed.
3. You can either leave your ends unrolled, cut them straight, fancy, crooked, rip or tear them or even wrap them in plastic to mimic an unopened roll. Whatever you like.
4. Don't worry too much if some of your rolls come loose from the tight roll you made. Many of our rolls of paper do this in real life as well.
5. Take your film container and tape or glue another piece of paper to it for decorative purposes.
6. Place your wrapping paper in the container and place in your home or room box.
Tips and Ideas:
* Save some paper that matches the rolls to make some presents to put under your tree.
* Store container in an attic or storage area of your home.
* Make a Christmas scene with your home's or room box's family wrapping gifts - have some wrapped packages, some being wrapped and some bits of paper lying around on the floor.
* You can get away with some fairly large patterns on these. I have a roll of Christmas paper here that has six inch patterns on it. So, you can go pretty large on yours as well. Keep your scales in mind when choosing patterns.
* Mix paper for different holidays and celebrations in your container. Some ideas: Birthday, Baby Shower, Easter, Father's Day etc.
That's it! You are all done, and you have an adorable little container of wrapping paper to add to your home or room box.
