What You Will Need:
* Small Bugle Beads
* Glue of your choice (I like Tacky Glue)
* Small rounded or shaped beads in your choice of shape and colors. (I used small rounded 'miracle' beads and flattened beads for mine)
How To Make Them:
1. Take your rounded or shaped beads and glue the bugle bead to the center of them. This will serve as your lollipop's stick.
2. Let sit and dry.
Really, it's that easy. These will look authentic and adorable in your home or room box's scene.
Hints, Tips, and Ideas:
* These lollies are really universal and can use a multitude of varieties to change the appearance.
* Add some clear plastic (the sleeve from a photo album or a top loading plastic sheet would work best). Twist them slightly around the bugle bead and tie with some ribbon or string. You instantly have a wrapped lollipop that would look wonderful in a candy shop or on a counter top of a kitchen or child's room.
* If you are relatively handy with Fimo or similar sculpting and modeling clays, you can mix up some colors and roll them into thin strips. Arrange them in the shape of a spiral, working from the center outward. Slide in a toothpick or a bugle bead as the stick. Let dry, or bake, whichever your clay calls for. If you will need to bake your clay, make your hole for the stick with a bugle bead or toothpick prior to baking and remove it. Glue your bead or toothpick into the hole you created when it is done baking. Wrap in cellophane if desired.
* If you'd like to make a spiral stick shaped lolly out of clays: This would be best done with air drying clays like Model Magic. Roll your clay and mix as desired. Take a toothpick or a very thin wooden dowel and gently twist the clay ropes around the toothpick or dowel in a spiral fashion. Make sure to leave a length free for your lollipop's stick. Add a small piece of clay to cover the top of the stick and press so it melds with the spiral part. Be careful not to press too hard or your lollipop will take on a slightly flattened appearance. When finished this lollipop will resemble a bit of a colorful icicle on a stick. Wrap in a cellophane or plastic wrapper if desired.
* The spiral lollipops would also make cute trees in a candy themed room box.
* For a cute Halloween decoration, take your lollipops (either wrapped or unwrapped) and drape a square of white cotton around them. Wrap the cotton around the stick slightly and secure by tying a string or ribbon around the stick. Shape if needed and add some marker or felt eyes and a mouth. You've instantly created a ghost decoration. Slip a needle and thread through the top, make a small loop, and you'll be able to hang these little guys from anywhere in your house or room box.
* Tip your lollipop upside down (sitting on the bottom of the bead with the stick in the air) and you now have a bottle of nail polish to add to your dresser vanity tray! (This works best with plain rounded beads. If using a shaped bead set the stick on the top hole and let dry.)
