How to Mkae Microwave Apple Crisp

Bubba
I have two daughters. Both are great cooks. I think they get that from their Mom. My eldest daughter is a wife, a Mom, a teacher, a deer hunter, and a Pampered Chef sales consultant. Her time is precious so has learned to use recipes that are simple and yet taste great. She has two fine sons so has a need for something sweet many times a week. Punky Wetzel's Microwave Apple Crisp is just one example of one of her wonderful talents. Someone please put on a fresh pot of Columbian Coffee, we will need it when we finish making this dessert. Let's roll up our sleeves, take off our rings, wash our hands and get cooking a great dessert recipe written by Punky Wetzel.

Punky's Microwave Apple Crisp

Ingredients:

6+ cups pealed, cored, sliced thin, apples (I like to mix types)

1/2+ cup raisins (Optional)

2/3 cup all purpose flour

1/2 cup oats (Your favorite)

1/4 cup nuts (Your favorite)

1/2 cup brown sugar (dark or light)

1/3+ Cup Margarine or butter (Butter is better)

1/4 teaspoon sea salt

1/4 teaspoon Ground Nutmeg

1/2 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon

Directions:

Grease/spray a 9x9 microwave safe baking dish. Place apples in an even layer, sprinkle raisins on top (if your using them) and set aside. Mix flour, oats, nuts, brown sugar, nutmeg, salt, and cinnamon well and sprinkle mixture over apples. Dot top with margarine or butter on top. Microwave on high 13-15 min. or until apples are soft. Remember all microwave ovens are different. Best served warm!

Notes:

Punky has notes on her recipe card. Works well with cherries, peaches, purple plums, etc. Her favorite is to serve warm with a dip of French Vanilla Ice Cream. At the bottom of the card remember to buy whipping cream for Grandpa. Doubles well in a deep 9x13 microwave casserole for a party...or have a party just to enjoy this special recipe. Wanna kick it up a notch? Replace the raisins with chocolate chips.

OK the recipe is now yours. Make it today, you deserve a great dessert today. Share the link with all your friends and put it on your social networking page. Make a second one for the Minister or Rabi and their significant other. Share the link with them too. Try it next week with cherries, peaches or plums. I would keep this away from children, they always want more! Mizpah ;-]]>
