How to Make Money by Being a Publisher with No Budget

Pete Huang
Becoming a publisher of ebooks can be a highly lucrative event. If you get someone to sell your book for you, you could be earning an income that might just supercede your current job. But it's not all that easy. You could just say to the Internet "Here's my ebook. Sell it for me.", but you're not going to succeed.

It all begins with your ebook. Pick a topic you love and simply start typing out a guide or general book about the topic. Research if you must. It's not just about making money here. It's about your passion and what you can do with it. Anyone with a true passion would want to teach the subject, correct? Get your passion on and grind out these books! It should help people and be a truly great contribution.

The next part is your sales page, or your sales copy. This is a website that you design. It's meant to convince people to buy your ebook. Plenty of guides are available, but basically you want to provide testimonials of success (you can make this up), statistics of problems in the subject, a call to action, and provide the solution to the problems that people are having. When you write this, make sure you enlarge the points that are really essential to your sales tactics. Use different formats and spacing to keep it fresh and not just one big piece.

With your sales copy (complete with domain and hosting), it's now time to promote your hard work and get some profit rolling. Submit your product to affiliate networks like Clickbank. These networks basically do all the work for you. You build the product, they list it, and people will promote if it's good. A percentage of the sales price (which should be a large part, around 75% or whatever you set) will go to the affiliate and the rest will go to you. In most cases, one sale should have covered any costs you have had so far.

Announce your product at places like the Warrior Forum and the Digitalpoint Forums. Digitalpoint carries 55,000 active members, while Warrior carries 36,000. Both are great places and are swarming with experts that have made success and can help you have success in selling.

After this, it's time to wait. People are actively selling your product. Search for the title of your ebook in Google every week and see how many pages are appearing. The more pages, the better chance you have of selling. Guides have suggested affiliates to stop selling products if there are more than 10,000 results for the product name. You want to reach that and even surpass that amount.

I know people who have only three products, but pull around $150 a day. Focus on quality, not shotgunning your efforts everywhere and getting a few bucks.
