How to Make Money Off Your Blog

Many of you have blogs, but some of you don't. A Blog is a Web Log you can write about anything you want. Now did you know you can make money of these blogs? Yep that's right, and here I will show you how!

First you need to have a blog. There are many places where you can sign up for one my personal Favorite is Blog Charm. This site pays you part of its advertising profits. There are also sites like Google Pages, and Blogger. Don't forget your MySpace blog, although MySpace blogs are very hard to make money off of.

Now you need to pick a subject you are familiar with, and like to write about, but will also be profitable. You don't want to write about your dog, instead write about different places in different cities to take dogs, review dog products ,or take it one step further and make you blog about pets. Don't write about your kid write about kids in general. Staying at home moms (SHAM) or Working at home moms (WAHM) are pretty popular and what seems to be the biggest right now is Making Money blogs. What I mean is blogs where people list sites that pay, and they make money off of. Blogs such as my Making Money Online At Home Blog.

Now that you have picked a topic pick a title, and an easy to remember link. Now you have a blog! Next you need to write some good quality articles with links, and get your blog up and going. Don't write a bunch of articles the first day, spread them out. You want to try to get on everyday to write article or at least once every other day. Now many sites that will pay you to post ads ECT will require that your blog be 3 month or more old. Keep that in mind.

Next, you need to gain readership before you can make money! If you are a member of any forum you should include your website in your signature. You can also promote your blog at forum just don't SPAM. Look for people talking about your subject or asking questions about your subject and make conversation and then at the end say 'I have a blog about this subject please check it out (blog title and address here)' this will earn you more accreditations then SPAMING. Also post your blog on your MySpace page or Facebook Page, put the link on your signature of your email, and lets friends and family know about it and tell them to tell people they know about it.

Another way to get traffic is to find blogs that are similar to yours and ask if they would link to you, if you linked to them. Many will agree because of the extra traffic to their blog. It's a win, win situation for both parties.

Once you have a readership you are ready to make money! One way to make money is by ads. Now instead of just posting random ads around your site try this. Pick an add from the companies I will list here in a moment, and every say 6 posts in your blog write a 'Sponsored Post' and write about that company try to link it to your blog's subject SOMEHOW and this will spike user curiosity. Now remember to ALWAYS include referral link, and the add. Now there are many companies that will pay you a commission of sales, or a lead commission from links on your site. Now keep your eyes open because there are many small companies that will pay you to place a link or an add on your page. Or you can sell advertising space. Don't forget to post sites with your referral links too!
