How to Make Money Selling Highly Targeted Niche Information Products

Why exactly do people buy information products? Leading experts believe it's the human desire to quickly satisfy a need and have immediate gratification. The ability to buy it and read it now has been the reason for the steady rise in online information product sales. Someone selling an informational product on bees in general won't really be able to say that they are fulfilling an immediate need that someone is having. That's where the profitable business of selling highly targeted niche information products comes into play.

When I go shopping at an online bookstore I will usually opt for the hard print copy of the book even if they have it in a downloadable e-book version. In most cases with those books I don't have an immediate need to be gratified with the information it contains. An online downloadable version of the book isn't going to make me whip out my wallet any faster. Bookstores normally don't ignite an "I need it now! No matter the cost!" type of mentality. To be honest with you that's the reason most e-books fail. There written in a "bookstore" type format.

There is a very simple way to turn that e-book on bees into a highly profitable e-book. It could be the most prestigious e-book on bees ever created and have information on every topic related to bees imaginable. But an e-book wrote in this manner will never ring any bells with potential customers unless they are big shots in the insect community. To create a demand for an e-book about bees you need to narrow your focus into a targeted niche area about bees. Change the focus of your e-book from general to problems that bees cause and how to over come them.

A natural remedy to ward of bees from stinging would be a highly targeted niche e-book that would appeal to many people who would normally shy away from an encyclopedia about bees. That's what I mean when I say you need to change your e-books focus. With each e-book topic that you write about you want to look at the problems that can arise within that niche then write about solving one or more of those problems. The bigger the problem the better!

The rationale behind this process is very simple. People looking for a solution to a problem are impulse buyers and are looking for immediate gratification to a problem they are having. They don't need a lot of sweet talk or hand holding to get them to fork over their hard earned money to buy your product. They just want their problem solved and they want it solved quickly. Do this and you will almost always have a product that's in demand.
