How to Make Money Writing for Bukisa.Com

Jennifer Claerr
There are many advantages to writing for Bukisa.com. Although Bukisa doesn't pay upfront for articles, their earnings are typically over $3.00 per thousand views (PPM). Bukisa accepts articles that are as short as 250 words and accepts previously published content. You can submit up to 25 articles per day to Bukisa. Bukisa also has a program in which you can get paid for the earnings of other writers who join your network. Some people mistakenly think that Bukisa is a scam site. I can say from personal experience that it isn't a scam; but it isn't exactly the highest traffic writing site out there, either. Bukisa is going places, and you can make a little extra money writing for the site if you know which article categories earn the most.

Writing Articles that Earn Money on Bukisa

In order to earn money, your articles on Bukisa must get unique page views from qualified sources. This means that visitors must come to your Bukisa articles from approved websites. Also, if the same visitor views your article more than once during 24 hours, the visit counts as only one view. Also, on Bukisa each article counts as only one page. Therefore you have to take some additional steps to increase your overall page views. If an article is more than 250 words long, divide it into multiple, shorter articles. Then publish each separate article with a unique title. Also, when you promote your Bukisa articles, you must be careful to promote them only on reputable websites such as Google, Yahoo!, Facebook and Twitter. It's also important to avoid any promotional methods that are prohibited in the Bukisa Terms of Service. You can also get more information about what is and isn't allowed in the Bukisa FAQ.

There are many different types of articles that get lots of page views on Bukisa. Holiday articles such as Valentine's Day, Christmas, Mother's Day, Easter and Fourth of July holiday articles have earned very well for me on Bukisa. You may also get more earnings with articles on the topic of movies, romance and birthdays. Bukisa's top performing writer, Norbert Bermosa, has also created a list of his top earning articles on the Bukisa blog. His best earners are typically articles about interesting and unusual things, such as the world's largest machines and weirdest frogs.

If you republish your previously published articles on Bukisa, and the original is on the web, you should give the article a light rewrite to avoid duplicate content penalties from important search engines such as Google and Yahoo! Rewrite the introductory paragraph, at least. Also include a unique summary at the top of the article. Rebalance the keywords in the article body. If it doesn't matter which order the paragraphs are in, you can rearrange them.

You can also use Bukisa's traffic tools to enhance your page views. Click the "Content" link at the top of the page, then click the rainbow-colored icon at the right of your article beside the earnings column. Beside "Show visitors from," click "7 Days Ago," "Last 30 Days," "This Month," "Last Month" or "All Time" to see your traffic data. On the left side of the page, you will see the top keywords that visitors are using to find your Bukisa articles. On the right, you will see the top referring websites. Keep in mind that the report includes unqualified page views. You can use the keywords to get ideas for writing additional articles on Bukisa. You can use the referring websites to tell whether or not your promotional efforts are getting page views to your Bukisa articles. You can also edit your Bukisa articles at any time to increase their page views.

Bukisa has three publication licensing options; "Creative Commons - Share Alike 3.0 Unported," "Creative Commons - Attribution - No Derivative Works 3.0 Unported" and "No Syndication Allowed - No Copying/Altering." If you select a Creative Commons license, you are giving other people permission to copy and publish your articles with attribution to you. If you don't want other people copying your content and publishing it elsewhere for free, it's important to select the "No Syndication" license option.

Building a Network on Bukisa

To get started building your Bukisa network, mouse over the "Account" link at the top of the page, then click "Banners." The banners include your Bukisa invite link, which will allow new writers to sign up for Bukisa in your network. You will earn 25% of the earnings of each writer that joins your Bukisa network. You will also earn a smaller share of the earnings of writers who join Bukisa under your network writers. Get the complete details of the network system in the "How does the Bukisa Revenue Sharing model work?" section of the Bukisa FAQ.

You may place one of your banners or a text invite link on your Bukisa profile page and in your Bukisa articles. You may also invite writers by email and promote your Bukisa network on other websites. However, be careful to obey the terms of use on any website where you promote your Bukisa network, and avoid any promotional effort that could be interpreted as spamming.

I'm having a hard enough time keeping up with Xomba, AC, and all my blogs, but if I didn't have so much going on, I would have checked Bukisa out. Thank you.

I am in the process of deleting some articles from another site and republishing them on Bukisa. It will be interesting to see the results.
