1. getafreelancer.com This is my top choice for legitimate virtual writing jobs that make you money writing online. This website features many different specialty areas for potential job seekers to choose from, one of which is copywriting. Under the copywriting section you will find people looking for writers for various projects ranging from rewriting a few articles to establishing a long term comittment with them. I have found long term work by bidding on a project and being chosen to write articles for a website. I wrote over 600 articles for one person at $4.00 each. If you do the math you will quickly see that this money can add up. I have also written up descriptions for a children's card game which is currently being printed and distributed in the marketplace. Not only can you make money writing online through GAF but you can build up a real portfolio that may help you gain non-virtual writing positions should you seek them out.
2. debthelp.tv This site may be harder to get an article apporved, but one the owner chooses your idea you can make $20 a pop. Each blog you submit for his website earns you $20 through Paypal which is paid as soon as you publish it. After applying to the site the owner requires that you send him ideas about financial issues you have dealt with in your life. Once he approves the idea you are free to write it and publish it directly to his blog. Once it is published he will pay you the $20. He can be picky about the topics, but even if you are creative and write one a week the pay is high enough to be worth the effort.
3. epinions.com You can make a few extra bucks writing for epinions, but don't look for any major income here. You simply spend some time each day writing reviews for products that you have had experience with. Each review will not give you an upfront payment, but for a measly 200 words, what do you expect? After you write your review you will get paid based on teh number of times people click on it and read it, so the best way to increase your odds of making money online is to review what other members have written. Most people will return the favor so it will help to increase your exposure.
4. ehow.com This website doesn't pay you upfront, either, but the pay can add up. You simply write up a how-to article on any number of topics and include a photo. Some articles can be actual how-to do things such as repair a stone wall while others can be more abstract such as how-to make new friends. These articles get paid by the number of hits as well as ome other factors that are seemingly unclear, but similar to epinions, the larger your circle of friends becomes the more hits you will receive.
I have successfully used all of these websites in addition to Associated Content to make money writng online. If you are more exeperienced you may consider constantcontent.com but I find that getafreelancer.com is much better since there is no need to prewrite articles.

Post a CommentThanks very much. I'm on constant-content, but it depends on the sales. As a non-US resident, I get only page performance pay from AC, so it's minimal. Suite101 is also good--I write on the Health channel there.
Thanks for the great information about how to make money writing.
Great tips, but I am not sure I have enough free time to look into much more than I already do online.
Sorry...I do want to follow-up with something else. Some reviews on Epinions WILL earn more money than others, depending on the category. For instance, you'll never earn more than a few pennies on hotel, restaurant or movie reviews. But you can earn a pretty good amount of money for a well written review on electronics. Also keep in mind that in searches for a product, the more popular reviewers come up first so newbies get less hits. An example...I've never earned more than 75 cents total over the years on a hotel or restaurant review, but a review of a GPS device earned me about $25 in about 2-3 months. Another warning....do NOT copy someone else's reviews from other sites. It's almost a game for some members to try to find that people are plagiarizing reviews.
I have been a member of Epinions for many years (almost since the beginning). I can tell you that unless you write at least 10 reviews per month (to get $10 for 10 reviews) and they average a VH rating from members (to double it to $20) you won't earn but a few pennies on a review. And I don't think you can "cash out" unless you have at least $10 income share. Some of my reviews have been there and rated VH for 6 mos to a year and have earned less than 50 cents. Epinions members can also be brutal in the way they rate a member's reviews...a lot is expected in terms of a quality review for little return in terms of cash.
