How to Get More Internet Traffic to Your Online Articles

Chris James

Keyword Optimization - Does your article contain keywords that people are searching for? If not, you want to replace generic wording with precise key words that people will be searching for to generate more internet traffic. Search engines look for specific keywords to direct people to websites, and if your article does not contain keywords people are searching for, then they will not find it, and you will not get enough internet traffic. To create keyword dense articles, do not write how you would for your college professor. Seize every opportunity to insert a keyword into a sentence, and do not be afraid to be redundant with keywords. The higher the keyword density, the greater the internet traffic. Be sure to replace all pronouns such as "it" with the keyword which it refers to to optimize internet traffic. Make sure the title also contains keywords people are searching for, because the title is the first thing people will glance at after finding your article with a keyword search. People searching for your article using a keyword search will be your most valuable internet traffic, so do not exclude them by having low density keyword article.

Promotion - Promotion is helpful for your articles, but it is not nearly as important as keyword optimization to generate internet traffic. Most of your traffic will come from a grassroots keyword google search. However, promotion is a useful tool you can use to generate more traffic to your articles. Submit your url to StumbleUpon to get discovered and receive more internet traffic. StumbleUpon will send a few people towards your website, but if not enough people like it, it will drop out of circulation almost immediately. Only the most unique, sensational, dream like content makes it on StumbleUpon, because the StumbleUpon audience clicks through content at a rapid pace, and will not take one glance at your article if they are not interested. You can also submit your content to DIgg, where the highest quality content rises to the top and accumulates more page views when people like or "Digg" your content. Once again, only submit your url to Digg if it is a high quality article, because it will likely remain on the bottom if it is not your best work. You can also self promote your articles using Facebook and Twitter to generate internet traffic.

I was writing an article similar to this, but not the same, so researched to see what I found on AC. Good job!
