First and foremost, you need to find real survey companies that pay you to take surveys. This can be very difficult to do with so many websites claiming to pay you for surveys but only sell you a list of paid survey companies. There is no need to pay for these lists of paid survey companies. The information is available for free from several sources. Doing a search for paid surveys will list the real paid survey companies but will also bring up websites that are trying to sell a list or subscription to their directory. I have never bought any of these lists and I am sure they are complete and well written but the information is available for free.
So where is the best place to look for paid survey opportunities? The best place to find them is from paid survey review websites that offer the information for free. One such website is www.goldtreemarketing.com. There are other review websites, just Google search "paid survey reviews" without the quotes. I have found that most of these paid survey review websites list very truthful and accurate information. They offer the information for free because they are paid a small amount by the survey companies to send folks to their website to sign up. While on the subject of signing up for paid surveys, do not pay to sign up for a paid survey company. I have yet to find a paid survey company that requires you to pay them to sign up. If the website asks you to pay for a sign up they are likely selling a list. You should not have to pay to get paid.
You have found some paid survey reviews and read several. You have found a few survey companies that interest you, now what? Click on the sign up link provided by the webmaster. Even though she will be paid a small amount it costs you nothing to sign up at the real survey websites. You are helping the webmaster keep her website up and going by using her links. Sign up for as many of the survey companies you have interest in. The more you sign up with the more money you will potentially make.
How many paid survey companies you should sign up for is dependent on you and your lifestyle. I would recommend signing up for only one or two to begin with if you are not sure how much time you can devote to taking paid surveys each day. If you think you can set aside 15 - 30 minutes each day for taking surveys, go ahead and sign up for 3 or 4 companies. In a month or two when you have more experience with taking surveys you may decide to sign up with a few more companies.
Before signing up for any surveys, just a note on the survey reviews. Look for reviewers that give in depth information about the survey companies. Look for honest reviews and skip over the reviewers that make pie in the sky claims. There are a few opportunistic webmasters that are only interested in profits and not in giving good information. A good review will include company information and will be reviewed by someone that actually participates in paid surveys with the survey company being reviewed.
Here is a good tip to help you stay organized when signing up with paid survey companies. I find it best to use a different email account from your main email. Sign up for a free email from Yahoo, Google, Aim or whatever your free email preference is. Use this email only for your paid surveys. This will make it much easier to track your progress. You will also know that when you sit down to check this email you need to have 15 - 30 minutes set aside for doing surveys.
What kind of earnings can you expect is a question that I am often asked; to begin with not much. Give it some time and the earnings will increase. I have heard of people that actually make a living doing surveys. While I am skeptical of these claims, I suppose that it is possible. I can say that I make enough extra cash each year to take a modest vacation and pay for Christmas with a little left over. Not a bad amount for doing something I enjoy that takes little effort.
To help increase your earnings, most of the paid survey companies have an area of their website that is a sort of "Profile". This profile area contains short questionnaires that you should take time to answer. These questionnaires let the survey company know important information about your lifestyle. This information will help them to send you more surveys that are appropriate to you.
When you get a survey invitation, take time to participate. The more you participate the more likely the survey company will send more surveys your way. The more surveys, the more money you can make. Always answer questions honestly. I would caution against giving answers that you think the survey companies want just to qualify for a survey. There will be times you won't qualify for a survey, don't worry about that. It only takes a few seconds to find that you don't qualify for some reason and you can go on to the next survey. Honest answers and honest opinions are the best policy.
Don't overlook the survey company's referral program. People such as you are the life blood of paid survey companies. They need your opinions to supply their clients with the market research they need. Most all of the paid survey companies have some sort of referral program that rewards you for sending them more people interested in taking surveys. I would suggest family and friends to start with for referrals. Let your family and friends know what you are doing and if they are interested send them your referral link in an email. When they sign up and take surveys you will get paid in some form from the survey company. This is a great way to supplement your survey income.
Taking paid surveys can be a lot of fun. You can also earn some extra money to help out with your finances. Find the best survey companies to sign up with by visiting paid survey review websites. Sign up with paid survey companies that interest you. Complete the profile questionnaires to receive more survey invitations. Give honest opinions and honest answers when you respond to questions. Refer your family and friends to earn even more. Make the extra money you need for vacations, Christmas or whatever you want extra money for. Above all enjoy the time you spend taking surveys.
