How to Make More Money Writing Online by Being More Productive

There are only so many hours in your already hectic day to try and use to make more money writing online. It seems that every freelance writer is starting to talk about web content burnout and not making enough money from their writing gigs. There is one reason for this that needs to be addressed. Most freelance writers are not as productive as they could be in order to make more money writing online. The reason for this lack of productivity is multitasking as a freelance writer. This is what you have to do to stop the madness and increase your earnings.

Step One

Stop spending the majority of your day social networking. This is like talking at the cooler at the office and cause your plan to make more money writing online to fall short. To be a successful freelance writer, you need to include some social networking to get your name and your web sites out there. There is no reason that the majority of your time during the day should be spent answering IM's and forums posts every time a new one pops up. The best way to keep this evil arm of multitasking at bay is to limit the amount of time that you spend on each social networking site each day.

Step Two

Spend 1 hour at the end of every freelance writing day, brainstorming ideas for what you are going to write the next day. There are too many hours that are wasted staring at the computer trying to decide what to write on each day on your quest to make more money writing online. To be more productive, you should focus for an hour on every writing assignment that you have for the next day and jot down ideas to help you to create your articles when you sit down to write them.

Step Three

Focus on 1 writing assignment at a time to make more money. Even though, you may have numerous deadlines and articles due, to be more productive you need to focus on one project from start to finish to get it done. When you are trying to focus on more then one project it will take you longer to complete each project then if you only focused on one. Time is money when you are trying to make more money writing online. By cutting back on the amount of time that it takes you to write each article, you can take on more freelance writing assignments to increase your income.

Coming up with ideas isn't always my problem. It's researching and writing them. Can't imagine how people are batting out a piece in 30 minutes. I've got 290 or so published with AC, but would like to increase my output.
