How to Be More Secure Online and Keep Your Accounts Safer

Many people have issues with online account security today. It's always a big problem to be hacked or for someone else to get your passwords making your online accounts compromised. Since there are those who are wanting to get your accounts, you have to keep them protected. There are a few things you can be doing to have more security online.

Don't use the same password for every account. This is a huge mistake. Once someone knows this password it's really easy to get into your other accounts and cause problems. Use different passwords for every account. When creating a password, try to use stronger passwords that include capitals, numbers, and letters in them.

Change your passwords every few months. While this might seem like a bit of a chore, it's not a bad idea. If you do login to accounts in places with open wifi like coffee shops, those passwords should be changed even more frequently as that login information is not very secure on a shared connection.

Be careful about using your Twitter or Facebook login for everything. Many sites let you login with these accounts. It's better to make brand new accounts with different passwords because you don't want to raise the chance that these social networking accounts are compromised.

Get the spyware off your computer. If you aren't using a spyware tool on your Windows system, you are going to compromise your accounts at some point in time. These pieces of malicious software can actually see what keys you are typing into your computer. It's very easy to determine your name and password since it knows everything you are typing. Spyware cleaner tools will remove these types of software from your machine keeping your login information much more secure.
