How to Make the Most at Mickey's Halloween Party 2011 at Disneyland Resort
Disneyland Halloween Fun Can Be Even More Exciting with These Few Tips
Boo! It's Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort and it is all about not being too scary. The annual celebration in Anaheim, California brings the trick or treaters from all over the United States to share in an evening of fun, but it won't be too scary with Mickey Mouse leading the way. Mickey's Halloween Party caters to those younger hearts that don't necessarily want to skip a beat but still want to be ever-so-slightly spooked.
The tickets for the special event are on sale in early September, but the dates will sell out quickly as the youngsters just love going to this safe environment to see their favorite Disney pals and share in trick or treating around the park.
If you are looking to make it extra special, check out these tips to make the Disneyland Halloween event without a single surprise (yep, no boo's allowed.)
1. Go early on the day of the ticket. While the kids will need to wait to trick or treat and the park won't be ready for the Halloween excitement, the opportunity to arrive three hours early will allow the partying to start early. Hit up a ride on Indiana Jones or perhaps Dumbo before the Halloween fun.
2. Bring the camera. Out front of Rancho del Zocalo Restaurante and other spots the guests will find some picture perfect moments and the kids will want a photo with Mickey Mouse too. Save some cash by being ready with your camera and be ready to whip it out on a moment's notice.
3. Wear comfortable shoes. The costumes are cute at Disneyland every year, but make sure everyone in your party has comfortable shoes with their costumes. Sore feet definitely won't be a Halloween treat!
4. Stop at all the treat stations. In addition to meeting the Disney villains, there are treats for those guests who dress up. Saying trick or treat Disney style means getting some unique goodies to fill those bags.
5. Bring some extra cash for the one-of-a-kind souvenirs. Disney always has plenty of fun goodies to take home and during an event it is extra special. Expect to find one or two items the kids will be delighted to have available exclusively during the event.
6. Get the best view of the fireworks. The unique fireworks during Halloween are worth the price of admission. Take a moment to make sure you get in front of the castle, near the statue of Walt Disney on Main Street USA at least 45 minutes prior to the show. It will secure your perfect location when the sky lights up bright orange.
7. Relax! Once at the Disneyland Resort, take time to enjoy the festivities with the family. The kids won't be overcrowded as the event is ticketed so family time should be the first priority.
8. Don't worry about going to the Haunted Mansion. The lines for this attraction are long during the month of October. Consider not attending the attraction during your time at the park to avoid spending a lengthy waiting time.
Happy Halloween!
