People should think about their present jobs. They could write down the benefits of their jobs. Then, they could see the proof right in front of them. It does the mind good to read positive things about their job positions. People can get the most out of their jobs, when they learn how to see all the advantages to their specific job title.
People, who complain all the time, aren't going to make the most out of any job. Why? People can't make the most out of their jobs if they're constantly finding fault with everybody and everything. People should focus on changing their own negativity. Then, they can focus on learning how to better their own job skills and performance. People should think about what would happen if their house was made out of straw. They would find out their house wouldn't last very long.
The people, who build their house with stronger materials, will hopefully get a lifetime of comfort. Jobs are similar. If people put forth little effort on their job performances, their jobs may not last. If they put forth genuine efforts they may climb the corporate ladder to success.
Life gives people job opportunities. They'll either fight for something good in their life, or give up and stay unemployed. Fighting for a good job takes courage. It takes knowing how to make the most of every job opportunity. Giving up is the easy way out. Learning how to make the most out of their jobs is how to make the best of one.
Think about the movie, 'The Titanic'. The passengers took their commander of the ship seriously. They did die, but they learned about sacrifice and true commitment. The Titanic crew made the ship stand for integrity until the very end. People today can learn how to make the most out of their jobs, and make a difference too?
God has given every person on earth a mind. Each person must choose for themselves. Will they learn how to keep their job and be contented, or will they go from job to job?
Jobs are not as plentiful today. This is why people should rethink their priorities. People should think about the homeless and jobless. This can help fortunate jobholders learn how to appreciate and make the most out of their jobs.

I like your idea of writing down all the good things about your job. It could really help some people to see that maybe they don't have it so bad after all.
