How to Make the Most of a Wealthy Affiliate Membership

B.D. McElroy
When most people visit the Wealthy Affiliate University homepage for the first time, they are a bit skeptical about the ability of the "Wealthy Affiliates," Kyle and Carson, to deliver on their lofty promises. The site does, after all, say that it can help you make money as an internet marketer, which happens to be a very competitive field. Not to mention many scams exist in this area, and it can be hard to tell legitimate from illegitimate offers.

After several months of membership, I have found that the $30 monthly price tag is far, far below the real value of a Wealthy Affiliate membership. When used properly, the tools and community available through Wealthy Affiliate are unmatched in terms of what I have found online.

The first and most important thing to do when getting started with Wealthy Affiliate is to sign up for the 6-week plan, which serves as an introduction to the world of affiliate marketing, which basically means getting paid to promote other people's products. Yes, it really is possible to make money with no product of your own!

While the 6-week course takes you through the basics, you can sign up for an account in the Wealthy Affiliate forum. The forum, which after more than a year of use has significantly more than 30,000 posts, is an invaluable source of information and advice. Wealthy Affiliate's members use it to interact with each other and with the Wealthy Affiliates themselves, and give and receive advice on topics ranging from Google Adwords to website building to Marketing 101.

Some members are advanced marketers who have been around the block more than a few times, and others are literally just getting started out on the internet. As a beginner myself, the opportunity to ask questions about more advanced topics and receive replies from real experts is too valuable to pass up.

Kyle and Carson regularly post in the forum, and also offer one-on-one support via private messages. I have consulted with them on everything from promoting Wealthy Affiliate to marketing strategy to specific HTML code questions, and they have never failed to deliver.

When you have the basics down, there are a series of remarkable tools at your disposal when you have a Wealthy Affiliate membership. Some of the individual tools sell for literally hundreds of dollars elsewhere, but they are all provided at no extra charge for Wealthy Affiliate members. There is a very useful tool to research the best performing products on Clickbank, which is a popular marketplace for digital products. You can also do keyword research using several different tools, which is the basis for success using Google's Adwords program to bring visitors to your website.

In addition to the technical tools, there is also a well thought-out series of written and video tutorials on all of the essential knowledge internet marketers need to have. They go from beginner to intermediate to advanced, so as you improve your own skills the tutorials and guides grow with you.

If you're just starting out, there are even a number of already made websites that you can use to promote popular internet marketing tools and resources without having to know any HTML or other coding.

Wealthy Affiliate has a closed affiliate program, meaning that only current members can promote the site to other people. This offers a great opportunity to easily make back the entire cost of your membership, because two referrals is all it takes.

As you get more advanced, one of the exciting possibilities within Wealthy Affiliate is to do joint ventures with other members. Since all of the members have different talents and abilities, combining them through joint projects is an ideal way to leverage other people's strong points and make up for your own weaknesses.

If you decide to sign up for a Wealthy Affiliate membership, just follow these simple steps and you'll surely make the most of it!

Hi there, Good article, I totally agree with your opinion. Wealthy affiliate is really under-priced for it's resources and tools that they offer esp. Website Builder and Webhosting. Their ebooks are also really awesome - Who Loves Money, Beating Adwords and Inside the List. Have u read Beating Adwords ?
