Looking for a great way to celebrate Mother's Day with a special gift for your Catholic mother? Read on for some suggestions on how to make this day all about your Catholic mother, and make it a day to remember!

One of the most special gifts any mother likes to get on Mother's Day is jewelry, and a Catholic mother is no exception! Consider purchasing a new rosary to replace the one she has already or to add to her collection. Thanks to the many vendors you can find online it's easy to find a retailer who can personalize a rosary for your Catholic mother for her own needs, such as choosing a particular saint or color of beading. If your Catholic mother is even more into jewelry consider a rosary bracelet - you can find many inexpensive ones through online stores or by visiting Christian stores that have a selection for you to choose from. Rosary bracelets can be made of simple wooden beads all the way up to expensive crystal and ready to be given out on Mother's Day! If you wish to you can even make your own rosary using kits easily purchased online and give your mother a special gift truly from the heart!

Many churches have special masses on Mother's Day specifically aimed at the mothers in the congregation. Check and see if this Mass offers the chance to place your Catholic mom's name in the bulletin along with other mothers in the parish or the church. You can also make a point of attending this special Mass and promising your mother to make a habit of it each Sunday for the next year.

Consider getting your Catholic mother a statue of Mary to celebrate Mother's Day. What would Mother's Day be without celebrating the most famous mother of them all? Another idea along this line might be to arrange a trip to a local shrine dedicated to Mary if there's one in your area. Depending on where you are it's likely that there is a shrine within a few hours drive and it would be a fine present for Mother's Day. Many shrines have small gift shops where you can purchase books, rosaries and statues of Mary to remember your special day out.

Another avenue for you to think about for Mother's Day for your Catholic mom is to purchase a book or perhaps a CD. Latin hymns are easy to find in CD form for the mother who likes classical music and as far as books go you can't go wrong with biographies of the famous women of the Church, such as Mother Theresa. A biography of John Paul II and of Pope Benedict XVI might also be good gifts for the mother who enjoys reading.

Mother's Day is a special day for everyone to remember, especially those of us with Catholic mothers. With a little time and work you can help make this Mother's Day a unique experience for your mother and make it a day she will remember... until next year!
