10,000. is probably reasonable for a cross country move on a doublewide.
Yup I acknowledge hauler is spelled incorrectly as with a few others, and the article is a little grammatically incorrect... sorry :) As for figures, these are a rough guide and are different depending on your circumstances. $6000 - $10,000 for a move is also largely affected in regards to the size of your property. Yes you may be able to get a good price from some companies,but ask your questions regarding hidden costs or extras that could be included.
I have a double wide manufactered home w two decks and central air and a shed . I would like to move it from wixom ,mi. to Big rapids , Mi. if possiable. It is a 3 hr. trip in a car so i,m sure it would take at least 2 extra hrs. to move a home . I would need a well put in and electricity put in and a foundation layed .

The article is pretty much correct on most fronts, I recently paid $6000 to move my single wide across town, and my double wide to a location about 10 miles away. This actually cost me $9500!
The hook up to supplies for elec and water where a further $5000.
Yes I originally paid $45K for my Manufactured home which was bought by a previous owner for $80k.
In my view the writer although a bit outdated on some points did a good job of a rough price outlay.
I suppose factoring in your State helps!
It does NOT cost $10,000 to move a mobile home. Writer needs to lay down the crack-pipe.
