How Much is Google Worth

JR Smith
Google is a major corporation that has taken the internet world by storm. It dictates how we search and find websites on the internet and helps serve almost three quarters of the internet viewing public. It is with this kind of popularity that the company has grown to immense proportions. Currently, the stock is worth over three hundred and twenty five dollars ($325) and growing. It is down overall from last year but it is still a massive success. When the stock was first offered it was set at a price of eighty five dollars ($85) and you can see how it has grown sense. However, despite these numbers it is truly hard to see just how much is Google worth.

The story can be better read from how the company runs as an organization. Google pretty much owns the internet. While many may view this as a monopoly of sorts, it is actively allowed under the law and it is something that is used to the companies advantage. The Adword program that the company employs, is the highest paying affiliate program on the web these days, often cited as paying out more to web administrators then any other program on the internet. It is also a must for advertisers as well with so much viewer ship and the contextual nature of the ads just make it a must.

Acquisitions is another area you can see the value in a company and Google has made it fair share of them. High traffic websites such as You Tube are the centerpiece of said acquisitions adding so much value to the company it is not even funny. Other small companies have added to the companies portfolio. Doubleclick, a contextual advertising company, has helped add needed technology, software, and experience to the company in the form of the previously mentioned Adwords. It has also acquired Postini, a company that specializes in security and messaging services.

With a stock value over three hundred dollars, Google is one of the highest valued companies in America and growing rapidly. With this article hopefully, you have a better idea how much google is worth and can answer that question anytime.
