I think that it is healthy to enjoy having sex whenever we feel the need to, as long as it's in an appropriate place. If the sex starts to simply become a routine, then the fun seems to drain away drastically. Sex shouldn't be something that feels like a chore, but rather something pleasurable to both parties. One partner shouldn't make the other feel as though they are obligated to have sex with them. In that situation, then both partners will not be equally pleased. In order to have a fulfilling sexual relationship, I believe that it is immensely important for both partners to be happy.
I think that if the sex does become boring, has too much undesired pain involved, or takes the place of any other normal function for either partner, then maybe the frequency should be lowered to a more comfortable amount. If a person feels that they need sex all the time and stops eating or going to work or school, etc. then obviously it is something that requires immediate professional help.
