How to Get Your MyMeebas Virtual Pet Open Quicker

Last Christmas, toy manufacturer Mattel shook up the virtual pet market by releasing a new toy called the MyMeebas virtual pet. This new toy combined all the fun of a digital pet with a stuffed animal. Basically, the MyMeebas virtual pet is attached to a special tube, and when you've played with the MyMeebas enough, the tube will open revealing a special, limited-edition MyMeebas stuffed animals. It really is a great concept for a toy, and I was lucky enough to receive one for Christmas last year.

The virtual pet part of the MyMeebas toy is relatively fun. You get to navigate your character through a digital world displayed on the small LCD screen, and you can interact with your virtual pet by feeding it, tickling it, or even playing a game with it....just like a Tamagotchi or a NanoPet. These virtual games were somewhat fun, but I quickly grew impatient waiting for the MyMeebas tube to open up and reveal my special stuffed animal. The instructions that came with the MyMeebas vaguely stated that the tube would open after playing with the toy for awhile, but I knew there had to be a way to get the tube open quicker.

As I played with the MyMeebas some more, it became clear that how you got your digital pet to progress and evolve was by playing games with it. The feeding and tickling didn't seem to have any effect on the MyMeeba. There are about 5 games you can play with your MyMeebas, and I found that there was one I was particularly good at. I began to just play that game over and over again, and within an hour my MyMeebas played a special tune and displayed a special icon on the screen indicating that the tube could now be opened. I pressed a button, the lid popped open, and out came one of the cutest stuffed animals I have ever seen.

So, if you want to get your MyMeebas virtual pet open quicker, find one of the games you are good at and just keep playing that over and over again. Within about an hour of play time, you should be able to open the MyMeebas tube. Of course, getting the tube open is most of the fun of the MyMeebas virtual pet, so you might not want to get it open as quickly as possible. But if you are somewhat impatient like I am, now you know the secret to getting your MyMeebas tube to open as quickly as possible.
