How to Make Natural Homemade Soap Last Longer

Wendy Rahilly
Natural homemade soap is a great alternative to store bought soap. It is really fun to make and smells great. You can add any kind of scent you want to make the soap smell like you want it to. You can also use your own oils or lotions in the beauty bars to create your own unique moisturizer. The one thing about these handmade soaps is that they do not last as long as the store bought soaps. This article will show some ways to help a person make their homemade soap last longer.

1. Be sure to rinse your soap well after each use.

2. You want to completely dry off your natural homemade soap after you are done using it.

3. Make sure you keep your homemade soap in a dry location and not in a place that holds in moisture, or be sure to keep your bathroom door open when not using it. This will release any excess steam and moisture after showers.

4. Try keeping your soap in a ziplock baggie or some kind of air tight container when not using it.

5. Keep your natural homemade soap out of water when not in use and this will help make it last longer.

6. When using oils such as olive oil or coconut oil in your homemade soap, try to use half the amount you normally would.

These are just some ways that will help to preserve your natural soap, but are not the only ways. You can find other helpful tips by doing a search on the internet or checking with your local craft or book stores for natural homemade soap care. Homemade soap is a better choice than soap bought from the store, because you have more control over the ingredients you put in it. Just be sure that you follow the simple tips on how to make it last for you.
