Many people find commercially available face toner to be too drying and or harsh. I formulated this facial toner to gentle cleanse while providing maximum hydrating benefits. This facial toner recipe is very easy to make and calls for inexpensive and natural ingredients.
You will need the following ingredients to prepare the natural hydrating face toner recipe: ½ cup white grape juice (or about 80 fresh green, seedless grapes), 4 tbsp. Fresh lime juice, 1 teaspoon honey.
Begin prepping the natural hydrating face toner recipe by pouring ½ cup of white grape juice into a mixing bowl. Grape juice is an excellent inclusion in any face toner recipe. We're using white grape juice in the hydrating face toner recipe so there's no reason to worry about staining skin. Grapes are a great source of anti-oxidants. The use of grape juice in the hydrating face toner recipe will boost natural cleansing and skin cell renewal. If you don't have white grape juice handy you can squeeze the juice from about 80 light green, seedless grapes and substitute that in the hydrating face toner recipe.
Mix ½ cup spring or distilled water in with the white grape juice and stir until well blended. Next boost the cleansing power of the natural hydrating face toner by adding 4 tablespoons of fresh lime juice to the blend. Limes are naturally astringent and add a cleansing boost to the hydrating face toner without drying out your skin. Limes contain vitamin c and citric acid to help tone and tighten skin and leave it with a healthy glow.
Add an extra hydrating boost by adding 1 teaspoon of runny honey to the blend and stir well for a couple of minutes until the hydrating face toner blend is uniform. Honey's inclusion in the natural hydrating face toner also boosts the cleansing effect of the face toner while boosting the toner's hydrating benefits. Honey is a natural humectant; it will draw moisture to dry skin and will also help protect your skin from moisture loss and damage from the elements.
Pour the completed hydrating face toner into a sturdy plastic bottle with screw on cap. Shake the bottle vigorously for a minute to complete the hydrating face toner recipe. Apply the face toner immediately if you wish, substituting it for your usual face toner. The toner is gentle enough for use 2 to 3 times per day depending on your preference, after cleansing your face. Store any unused toner in the refrigerator for up to 1 week. For best results use after cleansing skin, and use the toner on your face while it is still cold. Then it will cleanse, hydrate and help close your poresPublished by A. Kairi
