How to Naturally Clean Stove Burners

Mrs. Renee
Getting those nasty food stains off of your burners can be a huge challenge. There is nothing that many hate worse than trying to scrub the burn stains from the stove burners. There is however an easier way to get these stove burners clean. When you think of cleaning any part of the stove you are probably thinking of hours of scrubbing the grease and grime off of them. Some even go through several pieces of brillo in an attempt to clean the stove burners thoroughly. What is nice about cleaning things the natural way is that you do not have worry about breathing in harsh chemicals. Your entire family is going to be safe and of course chemical free, when you are cleaning the stove area. Below you will find a few simple suggestions on how to naturally clean your stove burners.

The first thing you will want to do is soak them in moisture that will loosen up the dirt. I use a regular dishpan and pour in about two cups of vinegar, then fill the pan the rest of the way with hot water. Allow the burners to sit in the vinegar mixture for about thirty minutes. By the end of thirty minutes you will see that most of the stuck on dirt and grime will be falling off. For the rest you will need to take a sponge and add about a tablespoon of baking soda directly to the sponge. Next rub the baking soda onto the stove burner. You should find that you don't actually have to scrub too hard to get all of the grime off of the burner. Very quickly you will see the original color of the burner coming back.

Once you have finished scrubbing with the baking soda you can rinse off and place back on the stove. If you follow the simple steps above at least once a week, you will find that the stove is a lot easier to manage. If you cook everyday than this is a must. If you don't cook everyday perhaps just using the stove one or two times a week, then you may not need to clean them weekly. A monthly cleaning will do nicely for someone who does no use the stove often. If you have food that has somehow manage to get stuck, you may need to soak it a bit longer. If you notice that the burner is not coming clean when you first start wiping it, place it back in the mixture an allow it to soak for a bit longer.
