How to Naturally Fade Acne Marks (or Most Facial Dark Marks)
Cheap, Easy, and Natural... It Wouldn't Hurt to Try!
Step 0 (optional): You should first start out be cleaning your pores so you can start the lemon treatment on a clean face. This optional step suggests that you open up the pores as much as possible first. If you have a steamer, use it. If not, simply boil some water (you can add some lemon and green tea for extra benefit) and situate your face above the pot close enough to where you can slightly sense the vapor. If you get too close, you will get burned! We want to clean your skin, not burn it off here.
Step 1: After your pores have opened up, use the scrub to clean deep inside them. Follow the directions on the bottle. Most bottles/tubes/whatever instruct the user to wet the face then gently massage the scrub all over with fingertips. Rinse. Gently, but thoroughly, dry your face.
Step 2: Soak a small cotton ball with the concentrated lemon juice you bought earlier. Run the cotton ball all over your face for an entirely brighter complexion, or concentrate on trouble spots to lighten them. There will be a tingling sensation at first, but try to resist it and let the lemon dry; the tingling should stop after your face dries. Do not rinse, go to bed only after your face dries completely. The lemon juice will also help stop current break-outs and prevent future ones.
You should only follow this entire routine every once in a while (maybe once a week or so depending on the nature and condition of your skin). Step 2, however, can be repeated nightly for successful and quick results. If you experience severe irritation from the lemon juice, simply wash your face and apply nothing else, the irritation will soothe away shortly.
Good luck!

Post a CommentGreat tips. I have some lemon juice in the kitchen, I'll try it for this.
The morning after, just splash it off with some water and pat dry.
i have a question about going to bed with the lemon juice ...so when do you wash it off??
Well one thing you need to know is that eventually your skin will get used to anything you feed it consistently, and once this happens the skin will not cooperate as it used to. So in your case, your skin has adapted to your continuous use of lemon juice and is no longer responding. I suggest giving it a rest for now and limiting your use of lemon juice to once every 1 or 2 weeks. Make sure to gently scrub your skin about twice a week and apply a good moisturizer daily (even if you have oily skin). I hope your skin gets better soon :)
I have tried using lemon juice on my skin. Have been using it now for 2 weeks. Firstly my skin was beginning to feel soft and smoother, but now some rough patches have developed, or perhaps its old skin peeling off? It feels like a lesion and the skin itches a lot at night, I am tempted to scratch, but know that will only cuase more marks. What should I do? Am also drinking lemon water throughout the day and night. Please advise. I used to have a beautiful clear complexion but now its depressing me.
