How to Network to Get a Joob

Robb Weigel
Networking is hands-down the best way to get a job especially these days when the national unemployment average is nearing double digits. Here's how to network to find a job:

1) Make a list of all your business, personal, social, religious, etc. contacts. Take a couple hours of your time and write down everyone you know and their occupations. Give everyone on your list a call. Ask them 3 questions after introducing yourself: 1) Do you or your husband/wife have any opportunities for employment for me at your company? Could you help me in getting a job with your company? Could I have the name of one of your friends who could help me get a job? Write down the name and number of the friend, give them a call, and repeat the process.

2) Facebook--Most of us have atleast 200 friends who we didn't even consider writing down in our list in 1). Sign into your facebook account. Email every single person on your facebook account and ask them the same questions: 1) Do you or your wife/husband have any opportunities for employment for me at your company? Could you help me in getting a job with your company? Could I have the name of one of your firends who could help me get a job? Write down the name and number of the friend, give them a call, and repeat the process.

3)Myspace--Repeat the same process with myspace.

When you do not have a job, do not be prideful. The recommendations above WORK. For more information on getting a job during the recession, check out another article of mine at the following link:
