No Sew Fleece Christmas Pillows are so much fun to make, even the kids will enjoy crafting no sew fleece Christmas pillows. These very soft no sew fleece Christmas pillows are a great way to decorate your home for the holidays and they are a wonderful way for the kids to make a special gift for family, friends and even each other.

These directions are for completing a no sew fleece Christmas pillow that measures 14" x 14", plus a 3" fringe all the way around the pillow. To determine the amount of fleece you will need to make the pillows a different size, add the size of the pillow you want (example 10 " X 10 ") and add 3" of fringe on all 4 sides (total of 12"), you should purchase enough fleece fabric to make 2 fleece squares that measure 22" x 22" each. You can use 1 color of fleece fabric for the front and another color for the back or just use the same color for both sides, it's up to you.

Materials:

Fleece fabric
felt (different colors)
fusible webbing
iron
marker
poly fill or a 14" pillow form
scissors

Directions:

Begin by cutting 2 pieces of fleece fabric that measure 26" x 26". Set it aside temporarily. Now you are going to make your iron on appliques. For safety reasons, adults should complete this step only, as children could get burned with the hot iron. Iron the fusible webbing to the back sides of the felt. On the back side use the marker to draw your applique. Some design ideas you might consider for your appliques are: a snowman, snow flakes, a Christmas tree, Santa, Christmas ornaments etc. Now cut out your designs and iron the applique to the center of one of the fleece panels. You can use different colors of felt, backed with fusible webbing to create any small details that need to be added to the applique.

Now place the front panel of your pillow with the applique facing you, on top of the back fleece panel. Make sure to line up the edges. Begin cutting the edges of the fleece to create the fringe around your no sew fleece Christmas pillows. The fringe strips should be cut 1" wide by 3" long.

You are now ready to begin tying the fringe, take one strip from the top and the strip directly below from the bottom panel and tie the strips into a double knot. Continue tying the strips in this manner, until you have tied three sides together. Now insert the pillow form or stuff the no sew fleece Christmas pillows with poly fill. Finish tying the last side closed. You have finished creating your beautiful no sew fleece Christmas pillows.

Tips: To clean your no sew fleece pillow you can remove the pillow form or remove the poly fill by untying one side of the pillow. Wash the pillow cover in the washer, using warm water. Dry the pillow cover and
replace the pillow form and re stuff the pillow with the original or new poly fill to re-freshen the fluff.
