Squidoo is a a website which allows anyone to make a single page about anything they like, for free. You can make as many as you'd like. In addition, pages (called "lenses") can earn both a share of performance-based advertising revenue and affiliate sales revenue. Writers, called Lensmasters, can elect to donate any portion of their lenses income to one of dozens of Squidoo-sponsored non-profit organizations. Squidoo donates 5% of its corporate monthly profits straight to charity right off the top. Then, 50% is paid directly to lensmasters based upon the performance of their individual pages. Squidoo keeps the remaining 45% as profits and operating costs. The site estimates that nearly half of all members are donating a portion of their royalties to sponsored non-profits. One of the biggest perks of being a Squidoo lensmaster is the ability for our lenses to contribute to worthy organizations. How much could a few extra dollars a month (or more) help your cause?

Fundraising through Squidoo is based upon the concept of micro-donations. A single page may only earn a few pennies each month, but a few pennies from many, many different pages can add up quickly. Here is an example of just one member's contributions: http://www.squidoo.com/my-charity-stats It isn't much, but imagine how much money your organization could raise with even 20 people doing the same thing. Or 100 people. Or more.

Organizations already receiving donations via Squidoo include KIVA, The March of Dimes, Longhopes Donkey Shelter, Wildlife SOS, Soldiers' Angels, The Jackie Robinson Foundation, A Day of Hope, Ecotrust, and many, many other charitable organizations both large and small.

It's easy to join the ranks of Squidoo sponsored non-profits, just follow these steps and your organization could be on its way. Note: In order to qualify as a Squidoo Nonprofit Charity all Squidoo nonprofits must be registered 501(3)c organizations under the IRS.
