How to Obtain a Maine Real Estate Sales Agent License

You must also take this test within a year of completing your sales agent class or you will need to retake the class again.

Once you have passed the course and the real estate exam, you must then become affiliated with a real estate agency. What this means is that you must already be hired by a real estate agency in order to get your license. The reason for this is that you must have someone to watch over you and be responsible for your work. The head of a real estate agency is known as the Designated Broker. They are ultimately responsible for you and your license.
