You will need:
Weight loss goal
Calorie counter
Water
Exercise
Follow these steps:
Step 1:
Stop taking the pill. To get off birth control pills, all you have to do is stop taking them. While you may notice hormone changes in your body, the transition should be a fairly mild one.
Step 2:
Be prepared to begin your period within two to six weeks after stopping your birth control pills. It can take a full three months before your cycle regulates. At that point, everything should go back to the way it was before you began taking the birth control pills.
Step 3:
Decide on a realistic weight goal. It's best to lose weight in small increments. By making small and manageable goals, you up your chances for success. This is the first step in making sure that you don't gain weight after stopping the pill.
Step 4:
Multiply your goal weight by 10 to get the amount of calories you should eat per day. You will need to count your calories each day to make sure you don't go over your number. This will keep you from gaining weight and put you on the path to lose weight.
Step 5:
Join a gym or hire a personal trainer. If you don't have money for either of these, you will need to borrow some exercise tapes from the library. Whatever you do, commit yourself to at least 30 minutes of exercise per day. Exercise is important in losing weight.
Step 6:
Drink eight 8 oz. glasses of water each day. This is the most well known way to flush your body of toxins and keep it hydrated and healthy. Your body will work better and you will be able to lose weight much easier if you drink water.
Tips:
It is beneficial to wait until after your first menstrual cycle before trying to get pregnant, although you can get pregnant before that.
Never drink your calories. Save them for food so that you can feel full and still lose weight.
Warning:
If your periods were irregular before the birth control pills, they will be irregular after.
